Zirconia alumina grain (Z) is the preferred abrasive material on alloyed and unalloyed steel (particularly higher strength grades).acid resistant and stainless steels and hign-temper-ature non-ferrous metals.

For the zirconia alumina grain to reach its full effectiveness, these fibre discs should be used at higher loads than standard aluminum oxide(A)fibre discs, especially when grinding on adverse conductive thermal materials.
